On a peninsula on the southern reaches of Lake Macquarie, Gwandalan provides you with a water playground for swimming, boating, fishing and water-skiing.

Lake Macquarie is Australia’s largest coastal saltwater lake and is approximately four times the size of Sydney Harbour.

Locally there is the Hunter Valley Vineyards within an hour’s drive. Sample the local produce, take a tour through the vineyards or just enjoy the magnificent scenery.

By night take a water taxi and dine out al fresco at one of the many waterfront restaurants on Lake Macquarie.
